Highgate Covid19 Mutual Aid Groups

In light of the current pandemic, many people will need to self isolate and will need assistance. There are a number of grassroot initiatives for help and support popping up, and we encourage everyone to link with their local streets through the links below (NB the WhatsApp links can’t be opened in Safari, so use another browser). Streets are self organising. These initiatives are supported by local organisations like Highgate Neighbourhood Forum, The Highgate Society and local Councillors, but entirely run by local individuals.

Note, these groups are for neighbourhood assistance, not for medical advice.

CIL Spending Projects

Several exciting Highgate Community Infrastructure Levy projects have been approved to go forward into Haringey’s first round of CIL spending and you can read more about them in news blogs on our website. If your project is still brewing, you may find it useful to submit an application form to the HNF CIL Steering Group so we can support you in putting together a successful bid for next round of spending which should be announced in the summer.

Our Camden Councillors are still open to CIL bids and you should contact them direct. Some great Highgate projects have already been approved.

Visit Highgate Info Boards

Think it’s time visitors to Highgate are alerted to the wealth and variety of the village’s historical and literary associations? A “Visit Highgate” initiative should soon put that right with three to six interpretation boards around the area.

New Signs on Camden Side
of Highgate

And good news that the fingerposts directing visitors to leading points of interest across Highgate will now be erected on the Camden side of the area. To be funded by the Community Infrastructure Levy, they will join the Legible London sign outside Highgate Underground station and the fingerpost outside Gail’s, funded by our local Haringey Councillors’
Ward Grant.
